One of the most common things I hear in candidate interviews is the desire to get in the door at a great company, then climb the ladder. If your goal is to grow with a company that will support your career long-term, you’re in the right place if you’re considering a career with Enterprise. Promotion from within is the name of the game here.
We’re known for our world-class Management Training program and the opportunity to move from there into a management role in Rental, but advancement opportunities extend well beyond our core business. At Enterprise, you’ll find a wide array of exciting career opportunities including sales, finance, tech, and beyond.
One of the most amazing aspects of working for a company that offers performance-based advancement opportunities is that it affords employees the opportunity to change careers without changing companies.
Our commitment to training and developing employees ensures that you will be given the tools to succeed in any career path you choose. Here are a few career opportunities that you may not immediately consider when you hear the name Enterprise….but you should!
Part of providing excellent customer service means staying ahead of changes in technology. A Product Owner is responsible for coordinating business requirements with a dedicated IT team for a product or application. They work with stakeholders to create a product roadmap and drive product features from concept to launch. They also monitor product health to ensure business needs are met and prioritize the work to be done by an IT team. Most of these positions are based in St. Louis at our Corporate Headquarters, however, some remote opportunities are available as well.
In the rental car business, accidents happen. When they do, we have our own in-house liability team that handles each claim on behalf of the company and our customers. This role requires the ability to wear multiple hats. As you progress along this career path, you’ll become an expert in assessing auto damage and repairs, injuries and treatment as well as the legal process when claims progress. No two days are the same! Claims offices are in major cities throughout the US and no prior insurance or claims experience is required.
Property Development & Facilities (PDF) is the team responsible for scouting, acquiring and managing the locations we work in every day. But the work doesn’t stop there. They’re also responsible for renovating existing structures, furnishing each location with fixtures and equipment, and managing the people who maintain each site. Plus, they manage compliance, including environmental, energy, and trade dress. PDF does it all—locating, negotiating, designing, constructing, and maintaining every place of business that we operate, whether branch, admin office, or service center. These opportunities are available in local operating groups across the US.
Our accounting and finance team use their analytical ability and keen business acumen to maximize profits by ensuring accurate reporting and guiding our business lines on cost savings efforts. Opportunities in this vital field include entry level Payroll or Accounting roles with potential to advance into Business Management and Controller roles. These positions are available throughout the United States within local operating group administrative offices.
