Honoring Veterans at Enterprise

A common theme among Enterprise employees who have served in the military is gratitude; gratitude for their fellow members in service, for their experience serving their country and for finding a company with rich military roots and military-like values.

Today, we express our gratitude for them – the more than 13,000 employees who have selflessly served their country, as well as over 2,000 military spouse employees supporting their family members in the service. Keep reading to find out more about four military members at Enterprise.

“Enterprise’s military foundation and namesake sparked a big interest in me.

Several common values exist between the military and Enterprise: Promote from within, take care of your employees and take care of the communities in which we live. ”

U.S. Navy
Area Rental Manager | Boston, MA

“Whether it’s being the face of the most powerful military or the largest rental company, both come with a responsibility to be guided by a strong moral compass.

The military taught me to have pride in my actions – no matter how small the task, do it well and with pride and you’ll be given the opportunity to do great things.”

“The level of team loyalty in the Army is rarely found any other place. However, at Enterprise I found the level of loyalty among team members rivaled that of the camaraderie in my army units.

The military took a young high school drop out with only a GED and instilled in me a level of discipline that allowed me to complete my degree and opened the door to Enterprise. I’m extremely grateful for my experience in the military as it helped lay the foundation for me to be successful today.”

Jeremy B.

U.S. Marine Corps
Senior Account Executive | Cincinnati, OH

“The Marines taught me leadership and emphasized discipline, work ethic, organization and prioritization. These values, combined with Enterprise’s business approach, made a very successful pairing and career path.

The relationships and bonds built during my time in the Marines and everything we experienced together cannot be found anywhere else in the world.”

“My military experience gave me a foundation of leadership skills I need to impact others in a positive way. Hard work, a drive for excellence and reliance on each other are critical in mission success – both in the military and at Enterprise.

My time in the military was immensely valuable to me, and it gives me even more gratitude to others who gave a far greater sacrifice to their country than I did.”

Terrance W.

U.S. Army

“My military experience has impacted the way I approach my career with Enterprise by providing me with the confidence, determination and self-discipline needed to grow and thrive here at Enterprise.”

“Serving my country was not only the right thing to do, but an honor to do so. Like military service, working at Enterprise is more of a way of life – sometimes the work can be tough, but we always prevail and come out a stronger, better company.

Our company has terrific values – but they can only be realized in a free society, and I’m grateful to all others who have served in the name of freedom.”
